Because every living thing is part of a broader ecosystem, saving one species saves many more.

The majority of our planet’s plant and animal species call the rainforest home – making rainforests one of the most biodiverse regions of the world. However, habitat destruction and fragmentation has driven thousands of species nearly to extinction.

Without this land, endangered species are exposed to an even greater risk of poaching and illegal logging and mining. It is imperative that we safeguard and recover these diverse habitats and the plants and animals that live there. The loss of life will greatly impact the health of every living thing on our planet.

But our work is far from over.

Healthy rainforests are critical to a healthy planet. Creating protected areas is the most effective way to protect endangered animals, safeguard biodiversity, stop deforestation, and maintain the health of all species on our planet.

Saving real acres of rainforest

"The one process now going on that will take millions of years to correct is the loss of genetic and species diversity by the destruction of natural habitats. This is the folly our descendants are least likely to forgive us.”
