Rimba/Nature Based Solutions

Our organisation’s name was simply Rimba, which means ‘jungle’ or ‘forest’ in the Malay language. Rimba was a Malaysian non-profit research group focused on conducting conservation science. We were established to help provide evidence-based solutions to conservation problems. We used the results of our studies to engage constructively with policymakers and natural resource managers to help improve the protection and management of Peninsular Malaysia’s biodiversity. We took a collaborative and inclusive approach to our work, and functioned as a virtual lab to connect like-minded people.
