DOUBLE YOUR DONATION!DOUBLE YOUR DONATION!Did you know pangolins are one of the most trafficked species on the planet?
Each year, tens of thousands are poached for their scales and meat for traditional medicine and luxury food. Globally, there are eight pangolin species spread throughout Africa and Asia, and while the demand in Asia drives poaching, populations on both continents are in serious decline. Six of the eight species are listed as Critically Endangered or Endangered.
Protecting pangolins is one of Rainforest Trust’s conservation priorities. We recently launched a new project in the Democratic Republic of the Congo to add 80,000 acres of ancient swamp forest to the Ekolo ya Bonobo Community Reserve, expanding it to an area the size of New York City. The expansion will provide protection for pangolins and many other threatened species.
Today only, all donations will be matched up to $10,000 in honor of the #BettyWhiteChallenge. We are proud to participate in this challenge to honor Betty White’s dedication to animals around the world. Donate today to support our work to protect pangolins and countless other threatened species.
