Afromontane Biodiversity Conservation in Ethiopia (ABCE)
The organization ABCE was founded in 2019 in response to the dramatic decline of intact highland habitats including montane forests due to poor management and lack of funding. ABCE is dedicated to conserving Ethiopia´s wildlife and remaining wild highland areas, while maintaining a strong focus on economic development and poverty alleviation of surrounding communities to ensure that the conservation areas are ecologically, socially, and financially sustainable in the long-term.
