Scott Emery

Fundraising Assistant

Chameleon

Scott is a climate campaigner who’s experience and impact spans both England and Ecuador. Born in the Andean Cloud Forest, but growing up in the Derbyshire Dales, Scott’s passion for conservation and climate justice is rooted in first-hand experiences of environmental degradation and protection.

Before joining Rainforest Trust UK in October 2024, Scott worked in community organising at Citizens UK; communications and campaigning at the UNDP; project coordination at King’s Climate Action Network and has a BA in Politics and an MA in Strategic Communications. His most cherished experience is, however, his 3 years working with the Baihuaeri Waorani Indigenous Peoples of Bameno, supporting their organisation Ome Yasuní through communications, fundraising, and project development.

In his free time, Scott can be found digging for vinyls, seeing live music, DJing, or engaging in activism. He fuses these interests in his fundraising event series CLIMATE CONTROLLA which combines workshops, art, and dance music.
