Jennifer Clay, CFRE, is a devoted conservationist who channels her passion for nature and habitat preservation into building transformative partnerships with donors. As Director of Philanthropy, Individual Giving at Rainforest Trust, she collaborates with donors, the Board of Directors, and senior staff to secure major and principal-level funding for the protection of endangered wildlife and our planet.
With over a decade of experience in donor engagement, Jennifer thrives on connecting individuals to high-impact conservation efforts, aligning their philanthropic goals with crucial environmental and wildlife initiatives. Before joining Rainforest Trust in 2024, she served as the Capital Campaign Director for the African Wildlife Foundation, where she oversaw a five-year, $300M capital campaign focused on conservation efforts across Africa.
Jennifer holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s in Gender, Ethnic, and Multicultural Studies. Based in Austin, Texas, with her fiancé and two senior rescue cats, Jennifer enjoys reading, exploring the city’s vibrant food scene, and spending time outdoors—especially when the temperatures cool down.
