Jasmine Coleman

Fundraising Assistant

Parakeet

Since she was a child, Jasmine has always loved animals, growing up with an array of them around her. When she left school, she went straight into work so she could save up money to go travelling and volunteer with animals around the world. During her first big trip, she was volunteering at an elephant sanctuary in Thailand and realised that this was the kind of work she wanted to be involved in. This led to her studying a BSc in Animal Management when she returned home.

After graduating, she travelled to Central America and volunteered at various animal sanctuaries. Whilst she loved this work and saw how vital it was, she realised that she wanted to focus her career in an area that could create change. She has volunteered with charities to build the skills that would allow her to begin a career within the environmental organisation field, and is very excited to have joined Rainforest Trust in February 2025.

In her spare time, Jasmine still likes to travel when she can, often with her Romanian rescue dog Kiki in tow. She also likes to get involved with animal rights activism, hiking, crafts and videogames.
