Iesl Yi joined Rainforest Trust as Conservation Administrative Coordinator to organize and implement conservation programs and initiatives. Her dedication to in situ conservation drives her desire to preserve wildlife in wild places.

Iesl earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Central Florida, which nurtured her passion for environmental protection, research, and understanding. She started her professional conservation journey as an educator at the Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens, then refocused on administration and grants for the nonprofit organization. Her extensive experience includes environmental services and geographic information systems in the for-profit sector. A common theme in Iesl’s career is her ability to bridge gaps between departments, organizations, and ideas to improve efficiency and increase capacity.

Committed to conservation in action, Iesl volunteers with a nonprofit raptor rehabilitation center. She serves on their Board of Trustees and leads development strategies.
