Equally passionate about words and wildlife, Cristina Santiestevan has dedicated her career to environmental communication, and especially to the issues of climate change and wildlife conservation. At Rainforest Trust, Cristina writes and edits publications and updates about the organization’s on-the-ground impacts and results.
Prior to joining Rainforest Trust, Cristina worked as a writer and editor for numerous nonprofit organizations, including Land Trust Alliance, American Forests, and Friends of the National Zoo. Cristina holds bachelor’s degrees in both English and biology, and a master’s degree in biology with a focus on ecology.
Cristina lives in Warrenton, Virginia, with her son and dog. In her free time, Cristina writes chapter books for children, camps and hikes with her son, and spends as much time outside as possible.
