Catharine joined Rainforest Trust in 2024 as Grants Manager, after nearly a decade working for
nonprofits across a variety of sectors. Her lifelong love of nature and animals, coupled with the
growing climate and biodiversity crises, brought Catharine to Rainforest Trust.

Catharine holds an M.A. in International Conflict Studies from King’s College London and a B.A.
in International Affairs from the University of Colorado at Boulder—both with a geographic focus
on Africa. A proud Baltimore native and current DC resident, she has lived in Maryland, DC,
Colorado, Florida, Texas, and the UK.

In her free time, Catharine enjoys exploring new hiking trails, playing soccer, doing yoga, and
spending time with dogs (both her family’s rescue and those in local animal shelters). She is
happiest curled up under a tree with a good book and a cup of coffee.
