Bianca Dager’s passion for sustainability is reflected in her career and many accomplishments, and a strong belief that the best investment we can make is in nature. She thrives at convening and connecting people to reach bottom-up consensus on innovative, local, nature-based solutions.
During her tenure as Deputy Minister of Environment of Ecuador, the area of conserved land in the country increased by 42% and approximately $700 million was mobilized for green and climate financing for Ecuador. As the former Director of Environment of Guayaquil, she promoted ordinances on recycling, circular economy, and the first single-use plastics resolution in the city.
Bianca is currently delegate to the President of Ecuador on the board of the National Institute of Biodiversity. She also serves on the board of the Nature Positive initiative and is a member of Women on Boards in Ecuador. As an entrepreneur, she applied her many skills to companies and initiatives that incorporated the protection and restoration of nature. Bianca has received numerous awards and acknowledgements for her work. She has a degree in Agricultural Engineering from EARTH University (Costa Rica); an MBA from UEES (Ecuador), a specialization in Ecological Economics; two diplomas in entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems and global digital platforms from MIT; and a diploma from Universidad de las Américas and CESA in Corporate Governance.
